I found a new bread, thinking it would be a good idea not so much. It raised my blood sugar to 11.4 after lunch. I tested just before dinner and it dropped down to 8.6 . I was very disappointed since in the last 4 days I have been staying in the single digits.
I also got a wonderful surprise at shoppers since I have extended health and I'm so very glad that I do since my testing strips are regularly 89.99, but now they are only 40.00 for me.
So if anyone has extended health get your Doctor to write you a prescription for the strips it will cost you way less.
I'm proud of how you are handling diabetes. You are an inspiration.
ReplyDeleteThanks sis. Sometimes its not as easy as I think it might be, but I'm getting the hang of it. It sucks when you know you can't have certain things that you used to have. I really miss hotdogs for some strange reason
ReplyDeleteToday my was 7.3 before breakfast, after I got home from the market it went down to 6.0 good way to start the day.
ReplyDeleteFor lunch I had a fruit salad with some Yoplait strawberry parfait, for some reason that pushed my blood sugar up to 9.7. Have to see what I had that made it go that high. Tonight is left over chicken and potatoes and lots of veggies. Then off to the dog park with my girl Emma.
Okay now I know why blood sugar was so high... Duh forgot to take my meds after lunch. They are very important.
ReplyDeleteok I just check blood sugar at 8:10 pm and it was 5.2. For dinner I had left over chicken and a very small amount of potatoes and some carrots and radishes. So I think I deserve some chocolate. As a matter of fact I just did.
ReplyDeleteYou also deserve to be nicer to me. :D
ReplyDeleteSeriously, though, well done!
hahaha oh I guess
